Bed Cars Are A Fun Sleeping Solution
Bed Cars can be the centre piece of a child’s bedroom and create a fantastic fun space they will remember for years to come. When a child first moves from a cot to a bed it can be quite daunting and can in some cases can lead to sleepig problems. Having a very personal and ‘fun’ themed bed such as a bed car is an excellent way of making the transition.

Some important things to consider when you want to buy a bed car include -
- Does the bed come ready built or is some construction required? If you have to assemble it, the advantage may be getting it into a smaller room (especially up stairs and round tight corners!) but not everyone is happy to get theit tools out and start putting furniture together. Also, a pre-built bed is likely to be more robust and hard wearing. Remember that a boy’s car bed is a tool for play as well as for sleeping on and it may take some rough wear and tear!
– How big is the bed? A very small one may only last 6 months to a year and the child may physically outgrow it very quickly. You may also find brothers or friends will want to stay for ‘sleep overs’ and there may be more than one child in the car bed!
– How comfortable is the bed? A silly question you may think but remember that it’s essentially a bed first and it must be comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Ideally, you want to be able to change mattresses as this gives you more flexibility for choosing better quality mattresses or those catering for special needs such as alergies.
– Are complimentary items available such as sheets, pillow and possibly even lampshades and other bedroom furniture? A Bed car sets the theme but other items can really create a unique appeal for the room.
– While the store or manufacturer deliver and is this included in the price? A large item of furniture like this won’t be easy to collect from store unless you have access to a suitable vehicle.
– Does the bed have storage underneath? Some designs have a bonnet which can be lifted up giving access to storage space just like a real car!
– Is the mattress included? Again, this is important to consider if you are comparing prices.
